Season 2009-10

The game started even with some end to end stuff. Danny Allinson the Nomads keeper pulled off a great save to deny Greenwood a goal, but they then attacked again passing a ball through to a player who seemed to be in an offside position the linesman didn’t flag the Greenwood player had a clear run, but Danny closed him down to pin him wide but they collided and Greenwood gained a penalty which they scored making it 1-0 to them. This gave greenwood confidence and they applied more pressure with a header over the bar and some more fine saves from the Nomads keeper. The Nomads also had some good attacks with Antony Ward just glancing it over the bar and Matt Penn also put one over the bar, but again without scoring Nomads found themself’s under attack and Greenwood got another making it 2-0 , the Nomads carried on still with more attacks .Warren York made a great cross for Antony Ward to latch onto but the greenwood keeper denied him his goal. But the Nomads came away again having played an equal game with another loss with Greenwood scoring another making the final result 3-0 to Greenwood Meadows.
