Season 2009-10

The game started off with the referee giving friar lane a penalty that we all thought was a freekick outside the area making it 1-0 to friar lane. Then within a matter of minutes the referee awarded us a penalty which Antony Ward slotted in 1-1. It was end to end stuff , Nomads were playing really well with some quality attacking and defending the game was even, but there was a mistake from the back when Nomads didn’t clear their lines and Friar managed to get one before halftime 2-1. 2nd half again it was end to end Nomads applied the pressure and forced a save off the line. Nomads won a freekick just outside the area Declan Sutton was to take it and it sailed in toward the top corner but the goalie go his hands to it.Nomads had another few good chances for Friar lane to scramble away, but again the Nomads defence got caught and Friar lane scored another making the final score 3-1 to Friar Lane and Epworth,The Nomads didn’t deserve this they had played their hearts out and the score line did not reflect the game.
