A storming start for Polska. With Robin Whait late arriving at the ground after a heavy night the previous evening (2 pints of bitter whilst playing snooker at The Winchester), it is left to young Mark to make his first managerial decision, which is putting Orlando Harper upfront for the first 10 minutes before switiching him with John Garden. Harper scores the first after just FIFTEEN SECONDS and when Chris Lewis puts the reds 2-0 up after 10 minutes, Syston look nervously at the floodgates about to open. Syston pull one back, only for Tommy Lane to make it 3-1 on 46 minutes. Polska hold on despite a spirited Syston fightback.
