Season 2006-07
Match Report | LEICESTER POLSKA recorded their 3rd clean sheet in 4 games as they battled to a hard fought win over a tough Desford side. On a terrible pitch, Jamie White had the first Polska attempt on goal, shooting just wide after 8 minutes. However, a minute later, Mark Inglis opened the scoring after a fantastic through ball from Adam Dyke - his strike partner for the day in the absence of the injured Ross Grocock. On 22 minutes, Guy Jarvis then shot at the Desford keeper after a pass from Mark Inglis. Adam Dyke then had a shot tipped over the bar on 24 minutes, and followed up with another one 2 minutes later. Polska stepped up a gear in the second half, and on 54 minutes, a long pass from Luke Dyke found his brother Adam, who floated a peach of a cross over to Rich Ellis who headed home his 4th goal of the season. Polska never looked like surrendering their lead, Ellis skipping through 4 challenges on 87 minutes before shooting over the bar. | |
