Season 2007-08

A second half collapse in the opening ten minutes after half time saw Leicester Polska slump to a 7-1 defeat against league leaders Premier Sports. Jerome North put the visitors ahead in the 6th minute after a mix up between Jason Hughes and Chris Eames, but Chris Rudkin equalised just 4 minutes later - a perfect tonic after his 'goal' against Countesthorpe from November was wiped from club records. Although Premier had the edge, Polska matched them, and when Martin Hughes inadvertently put through his own net on 38 minutes, the hosts still felt they were in with a shout. But the second half put paid to the game as a contest, Aaron Harris completing a quick fire treble in just 11 minutes to give the title favourites the win. Hughes again put through his own net on 69 minutes, with Matt Baines sealing the win on 83 minutes to complete a sorry afternoon for the Eagles.
