Season 2008-09

LEICESTER POLSKA looked to be fairly comfortable despite not playing especially well for the majority of the first half after Chris Rudkin put them ahead after just 6 minutes. JBS looked little threat but got a lucky break when they equalised on 43 minutes from a corner, but there was more than a hint of handball in the area which referee Stuart Wade failed to see. Polska then inexplicably conceded again on 48 minutes, again from a set piece. And when they went 3-1 down on 57 minutes it looked like game over. But then David Tennant made it 3-2 a minute later from a Rich Ellis long throw, before the impressive Rudkin made it 3-3 on 76 minutes from a long range shot. But somehow Polska seemed to self destruct as just a minute later Chi Ahochogu made it 4-3, which was how the result stayed. Merry Christmas.
