Season 2015-16
Match Report | ***PLAYED AT WESTERN PARK*** LEICESTER POLSKA completed a record breaking comeback to avenge their 8-2 defeat at the hands of New Parks in November. There are no recorded instances of Polska coming back from 3-0 down to win a game, but just like last week they produced a stunning second half performance to take the game. The day started badly for Marek Dizopa as he put through his own net on 6 minutes before more than redeeming himself with a man of the match performance. A mix up between Podburalcynski and Wysoczanski then led to Parks going 2-0 up on 19 minutes, before the away team made it 3-0 on 41 minutes. Despite this though, Polska had 3-4 very good chances but seemed as surprised as anyone when Karol Osipinski scored on 43 minutes from a Marek pass which turned out to be a vital goal. It seemed to stun New Parks and had a galvanising effect on the Polska players at the interval. In the second half, Polska sensed one more goal would turn the game on its head, while New Parks appeared to have settled themselves with a win based on their first 41 minutes. So when Marek made it 3-2 from a Sav pass on 54 minutes with the New Parks keeper seeing the shot squirm through his legs, the visitors suddenly seemed unable to come out of a rut as Polska began going through the gears. Then on 64 minutes, Marek reacted quickly from a Max throw to flick the ball in and make it 3-3. Then Max himself made it 4-3 on 71 minutes from a Lutowicz pass before Piotr pounced on a rebounded Max effort on 89 minutes to make it 5-3. 6' Polska 0 NP 1 19' Polska 0 NP 2 41' Polska 0 NP 3 43' Polska 1 NP 3 (Osipinski from a Marek assist) 54' Polska 2 NP 3 (Dziopa from a Sav assist) 64' Polska 3 NP 3 (Dziopa from a Max assist) 71' Polska 4 NP 3 (Max from a Lutowicz assist) 89' Polska 5 NP 3 (Kucznier from a Max assist) | |
