Season 2015-16
Match Report | St Patricks finally got their revenge over Polska in a controversial 3-2 win. They took the lead on 19 minutes against an injury hit Polska side - in truth far too easily - only for Max Siewczka to equalise 4 minutes later with a sublime goal - beating and outpacing 3 men before slotting his shot home. The makeshift Polska back four were again caught out softly as St Pats went 2-1 up on 25 minutes. In the second half Polska stepped up a gear, and on 64 minutes Kamil scored his first ever goal - equalising to make it 2-2. Then the controversial moment: on 80 minutes Krogulec floated a long range free kick in for Ross Whait to score what looked like to be a perfectly legitimate goal. There were no complaints from St Pats but the linesman's flag went up and the referee conferred with him - eventually giving the offside. To make matter worse, Marek was then judged to have given away a penalty on 85 minutes when St Pats made it 3-2. He certainly looked to have got the ball before the man, although in fairness Polska should have cleared their lines. | |
