With the new season around the corner, an update on how the summer pre-season has so far shaped up for the lads... HARBOROUGH HOTSHOTS 3 POLSKA 2 (Wieczorek 2) Polska dominated the early stages of the game, and Savo scored in the opening minute. Yet they just couldn't find the net, and when Harborough made it 1-1 towards half time the advantage was gone. After getting back to 2-2, Harborough ran out deserved winners as Polska's fitness wained in the second half. NIFFY RANGERS RESERVES 1 POLSKA 1 (Ross) A good show from Niffy in the first half, but Polska came out much stronger in the second, and might have won the game if they had shown more composure in front of goal. But they played some nice football, and an 88th minute equaliser from new signing Colin Ross was the least they deserved. LEICESTER BHARAT TALBOT 4 POLSKA 1 (Osipinski) Another frustrating performance in front of goal for the visitors. The pace and guile of young forward Will Gonga for Talbot caused mayhem, but at 3-1 down at half time, Polska played a lot better second half. A welcome return for Rob Crane into the fold, and also Arkadius Choina caught the eye. DEMONTFORT UNIVERSITY 0 POLSKA 8 (A Chater 2, Lane 2, Wieczorek 2, M Chater, Osipinski) Polska comfortably brushed aside their brand new opponents, and once Lane opened the scoring on 34 minutes, the result was never in much doubt. 2-0 up at half time, Polska stepped up a gear in second half and played with the confidence the game allowed them to. POLSKA 9 AYLESTONE LOUNGE BAR 4 (Tabaka 4, Dziopa 2, Osipinski 2, Wieczorek) 3-3 at half time as neither defences took control of the game, but Aylestone imploded and once Polska edged 5-4 up they went on to win impressively as their opponents lost their heads.
