News Item | | | Polska snap up Dyke senior to bolster squad | (contributed by Mark Whait - 07/11/2006) |
ADAM DYKE officially became a Leicester Polska player yesterday, following his move from Division 3 title contenders Knighton Dynamo. Dyke, older brother of current Polska star Luke, has already scored 11 goals for Knighton this season, and Polska now need to complete all the final paperwork to enable their new player to line up against Oadby United Reserves at Knighton Park on Sunday. Polska manager Mark Whait said: 'We are delighted to have signed Adam Dyke, and I'm sure he will bring a lot of quality to an already strong squad. Hopefully we can get the last minute paperwork out of the way so that he can play on Sunday, but I'm looking forward to seeing someone of his quality in a Polska shirt. He joins us at a great time, and this is the time when you want to be signing even more quality players - we won't wait until halfway through the season when players run the risk of suspension or injury. If he can make as big an impact on the team as Luke has so far this season, we are in for a good season!' Polska also completed the signing of Guy Jarvis who will also be in the squad for the Oadby game, having trained with the club for the last few weeks.
