LEICSTER POLSKA gave Leicester Markets a fright before bravely going down 7-4 in the Arthur Moore Cup. Polska took a 2-0 lead after just 8 minutes, and led 3-1 at half time, before Markets came storming back in the second half to claim victory. Savvo Wieczorek gave Polska the lead on 5 minutes after capitalising on a mix up in the Markets' defence, with the keeper failing to clear his lines. Then on 8 minutes, a long throw from Chris Eames found Chris Rudkin who doubled the advantage. On 22 minutes, Mark Inglis put a glorious chance to put Polska 3-0 up over the bar. Markets then came alive and scored from a corner on 39 minutes, but Inglis then picked up a long through ball on 43 minutes to give Polska a shock half time lead. Markets made it 3-2 within seconds of the restart, before Chris Rudkin shot just wide on 50 minutes after good work from Rich Ellis. Markets then equalised from a penalty on 63 minutes after Stu Matthews was adjudged to have handballed, and a minute later the Premiership side took the lead for the first time in the match. Markets then powered on to a 67th minute 5-3 lead, whilst Rob Crane headed over the bar on 72 minutes. Savvo Wieczorek then scored his second and Polska's fourth on 83 minutes, before Markets wrapped up the tie by scoring two goals in the 85th and 86th minutes.
