LEICESTER POLSKA retained the George Okuniewski trophy with a cosy 7-1 win over their Old Boys. The Old Boys managed to take the lead, however, on 16 minutes, Dave Cox evading the attention of Rys Procinski to shoot from well outside the area. But the current crop were level just two minutes later, Ross Grocock with a bullet header, giving the keeper Rich Hewitt no chance. Grocock then scored an almost identical goal to make it 2-1 before Mark Inglis scored his first Polska goal since January to put the game beyond doubt. In the second half, the impressive Adam Dyke got on the scoresheet twice, whilst Grocock rounded off his evening with his first ever Polska hat trick, with Inglis adding again as well. The Old Boys threw Darren Wheeler on to try and salvage something, but he was expertly marshalled by Rob Crane. In the end, George Okuniewski's wife Jill presented the trophy to Polska's skipper for the evening, Stef Thornton, and the night was well received by everybody. Polska: J Hughes, Crane, Procinski (Matthews), Kendall, Thornton, A Dyke, Jarvis, Eames, Rudkin, Inglis, Grocock.
