LEICESTER POLSKA began their pre-season with a competitive 4-2 win over Alliance new boys Sparta Moshdock. Polska's Mark Inglis scored for the first time since February when putting the hosts 1-0 up against the run of play after just 9 minutes. But the lead lasted just 4 minutes when Sparta equalised. The impressive Adam Dyke then won Polska a penalty, with the Sparta rearguard struggling to cope with his storming forward runs. However, Dyke missed the resuting penalty, only for Rich Ellis to drill home the rebound. In the second half, Sparta made it 2-2, before Dyke then won his team another penalty - again his surging runs proving hard for the visitors to cope with. Chris Rudkin this time stepped up and gave Sparta's replacement keeper no chance to make it 3-2. Mark Inglis then sealed the win late on. Polska: Hughes, Matthews, Thornton, A Ilnicki, Eames, Procinski (Wieczorek 46), Ellis, Rudkin, A Dyke, M Ilnicki, Inglis
