The Nomads proved one does not always have to play well to win matches, but it is how many times you can make the net bulge.

10 minutes passed before the Nomads had their first attack, Adam Bishop forcing a corner, but it came to nothing. On 12 minutes the Ratby keeper blocked a Joe Moran shot, and maybe Eddie Appleton could have done better with a free kick on 20 minutes. Either side of this free kick, Ratby could have taken the lead but their shots went wide.

The Nomads opening goals both came by route one and by keeper Ryan Whatley launching the ball into the Ratby half. On 23 minutes, the Ratby defender allowed the ball to bounce; Michael Reeve showed his pace and finished in style with a flick over the keeper. On the stroke of half time Michael Reeve turned provider, latching onto the long ball, found Joe Moran in space and he made it 11 goals for the season to date.

Ratby pulled a goal back on 55 minutes when Edmunds took advantage of a corner, and they should have at least levelled during the following 25 minutes. The majority of the chances fell their way but too many times shots were not on target, allowing the Nomads to cling nervously onto their 2-1 lead.

On the 80th minute the Nomads made sure of the three points. Joe Moran won the ball, he worked it to Jake Duffy who fed Sam McMahon and he showed Ratby how to finish. To complete Ratby’s woes, 5 minutes later the Nomads made it 4-1. Luke Winfield attacked down the wing and after cutting in, found Adam Bishop who hit the back of the net.
