Season 2009-10

Unfortunately the Nomads again got caught early when the ball was whipped in with pace for the Coleshill striker Ben Porter to latch onto and finish well 1-0 down.

Nomads came back with a cracking 40 min spell. When on the return of one of Anstey Nomads longer playing members Lee Jones,on his debut this season, headed the ball just wide. Then Jamie Munday’s shot also went wide. In the 23rd min the ball was played through to Antony Ward to hit home only to be ruled offside. Darren Geary’s drive also went just wide but still it was 1-0 to Coleshill at Halftime.

Coleshill started the 2nd half as the 1st with a shot that should of gone in only to be denied with another fine save by the Nomads keeper Danny Hanley. Nomads made a substitute bringing on Declan Sutton. Nomads then applied the pressure making Coleshill do all the defending and clearing two balls off the line, it carried on with more pressure from the Nomads when Jamie Munday shot was saved.

In a rare attack by Coleshill Danny Ebbutt broke free to latch onto a good cross to hit home making it 2-0 to Coleshill.

This just made Nomads try harder and Antony Ward closed the Coleshill Keeper down forcing an error and winning the ball then he shoots and scores 2-1 bringing the Nomads back in the game.

The Nomads carried on their pressure with Wes York and Declan Sutton passing the ball well. Then Lee Jones got sent off for a second bookable offence but luck again wasn’t going Nomads way and the end result was a disappointing 2-1 to Coleshill. The fans had enjoyed one of the most entertaining games of the season to date keep it up it’ll come....
