Season 2009-10

An even start to the game until on the 13th min the ball was crossed in for Anstey’s Declan Sutton to hit home making in 1-0 to the Nomads, Nomads were put under a lot of pressure from Greenwood Meadows with 3 corners in a row but they held firm and on the 28th min Nomads should of doubled their lead only for the ball to skim wide. Greenwood came straight back at Nomads it was one on one with the keeper but Daniel Hanley the keeper for Anstey pulled off another cracking save. Just before the halftime whistle Greenwood were given a free kick and they equalised making it 1-1.

The second half didn’t start off so good when in the only time in the game Nomads defence got caught slacking and it cost them when Greenwood scored making in 2-1 down. The Anstey Nomads came straight back again and they gave Greenwood defence some work to do for the majority of the second half, but again luck doesn’t seem to be on the Nomads side and they failed to score. Final result 2-1 to Greenwood Meadows.
