The Polska lads were in relaxed mood turning up at Friar Lane for this Presidents Cup quarter final. They all exprected the referee to rightly call the game off due to the frozen pitch. After ringing the Royal Oak to order their first pints of the day for half an hours time, incredibly the referee insisted the game went ahead! Watching 22 players try and keep their balance on a rock hard contoured pitch was fun, and suddenly Tom Lane, his green face fresh from his previous nights' Christmas party, opened the scoring early on with Chris Lewis adding to the tally. But Express pulled two back before half time, and managed the get the deciding third goal late on, despite a brave performance from Polska in what was their last game of the century.
