This defeat meant that Polska were able to roll out all the old cliches ('we haven't won / scored / kept a clean sheet / since last century'), but in truth whilst stand in keeper Jamie Harris wasn't really at fault for any of the goals, this was always a pretty one sided contest.

Polska therefore looked forward to playing the return match in a weeks time.
