Match Report | AN incident packed match saw Leicester Polska crash out of the Sunday Carlsberg Cup in disappointing style. Pertemps opened the scoring after 13 minutes when Adam Goodby fired a shot past Jason Hughes as Polska seemed to struggle with the occasion. They had a great chance to level things when they were awarded a penalty on 37 minutes after a Pertemps handball, but hot shot Darren Wheeler saw his resulting effort squirm wide left of the Pertemps goal. Pertemps then doubled their lead on 47 minutes when Brett Larkins put the home side 2-0 up, but Andy Ilnicki offered Polska a lifeline when pulling one back on 57 minutes. However, Polska's hopes were short lived when Matt Price raced past Rich Ellis from inside his own half and finished off his run with a sweet lob over Hughes on 61 minutes to make the score 3-1. Luke Dyke was then harshly penalised for what looked like a legitimate tackle, Paul Hathaway scoring the resulting penalty on 70 minutes. Price was then sent off on 80 minutes for a second yellow card, whilst Rob Louca was then also ordered off with a straight red after elbowing Chris Rudkin, but Pertemps had won the game by this stage, and having just 9 men did not disadvantage them.
