Match Report | AFTER turning over Advance Couriers last week, Leicester Polska pulled off a big double by deservedly beating title chasing Hockley Rangers 3-1. Carrying on where they left off last week, Polska were particularly awesome in the first half, and but for a solid performance by the Hockley keeper, might have been more than the 1-0 up they were at half time. That goal came from a long ball over the top that Darren Wheeler latched on to and put away in the 40th minute. But the first half saw excellent performances from all players, especially Tom Lane at the back, as well as the outstanding Kelvin Atkins in midfield. And when Chris Rudkin tackles like a tiger Polska know they are in good shape. Hockley looked a bit stronger in the second half, and Roger Brailsford equalised on 57 minutes after a mix up in the Polska defence. However, excellent work from Wheeler again provided a cross for Mark Inglis to restore Polska's lead just two minutes later. Then came a crucial moment as Hockley were awarded a penalty only for Jason Hughes to superbly save Liam O'Flynn's 80th minute right hand effort. Wheeler then made the game safe with another on 88 minutes to give Polska another big scalp.
