Season 2010-11
Match Report | RADEK GAGLIEWSKI marked his return to the Polska side after an absence of 2 months with a double to give the home team a win in one of their most impressive displays of the season. Gagliewski was playing upfront in the absence of Mark Inglis, and opened the scoring on 9 minutes as Polska opened the game the better side. But Countesthorpe slowly came back into it and equalised through Micky Stretton on 37 minutes. Polska started the second half brightly and Savo Wieczorek scored an excellent 20 yard goal on 52 minutes to put Polska 2-1 up. Polska then missed a hatful of chances, with Gagliewski and Karol Osipinski in particular failing to punish the Countesthorpe defence. Gagliewski then sealed the game on 80 minutes, although there was still time for the visitors to score on 84 minutes to set up a nervous finish. But Polska held on to record a well deserved win. | |
