Season 2011-12

With a temperature swing of at least 40 degrees, Mark 'Yomi' Yeomanson jetted in from Melbourne to take part in the annual latest instalment of the George Okuniewski Trophy. No, you are not looking at a rugby score, this was indeed a game of football, one which the current crop of Polska players found themselves 8-3 up at half time. (Yes, the second half did finish 7-7). Rys Procinski again donned the goalie gloves as he did in the last episode, hoping to improve on his goalkeeping average of 0 goals conceded per game. Little did anyone know that this would jump up to 5 goals a game. Lukasz Tabaka grabbed 5 goals and Marek Dziopa and Mark Chater also filled their boots. There was a hark back to many years back when the Old Boys fielded an extra player in an attempt to redress the balance, but the scores didn't change much, and the beer and bangers in The Abbey afterwards were as welcome as ever.
