KAROL OSIPINSKI came off the bench to inspire Polska to a 3-2 win over Magna 2012. Polska started brightly, and were pretty comfortable for the first 30 minutes, and shortly after a superb Andzrej save, Maciek Wiesniewski put in a delicious right hand cross on 21 minutes for Lukasz Tabaka to give Polska a 1-0 lead. It was Tabaka's first goal since April. Andzrej then suffered an injury on 36 minutes as Magna equalised through a corner, Harvey Webb netting. Spider Pajak had to come on for Andzrej as Polska changed their goalkeeper 10 minutes before half time. This seemed to make Polska lose their rhythm, and on 56 minutes Magna took the lead as new signing Leon Burke made it 1-2. Osipinski was then summoned from the bench, and Polska then enjoyed a great 15 minute spell. Osipinski set up Marek Dziopa on 67 minutes as Polska got back to 2-2. Dziopa was then fouled just inside the area on 70 minutes to give Polska a penalty, which Radek Gaglewski then put away to give Polska the win. Polska had to weather a late storm to hang on, but with last week's game against MDH almost certainly to be replayed, it meant that Polska enjoyed 4 wins from 4, the only team in Division 2 with a 100 per cent record. PLAYER PERFORMANCES: ANDZREJ: Pulled off a great save before going off injured on 37 minutes. MARK CHATER: Won fair share of headers, steady at the back. ALAN CHATER: Did ok at left back, put in a good shift. DAVID WASIK: Really got stuck in at centre half, had a good game. WYSOCZANSKI: First start of the season for Maciek, and although he made a couple of errors first half, was solid for the 90 DZIOPA: Quiet in patches, but scored the second and won the penalty for Polska's third WISNIEWSKI: Terrorised the Magna left channel, and created the first goal GAWLIK: All action game from Marcin, had his hands full second half WIECZOREK: Caught offside a few too many times first half, made way for Osipinski on 58 minutes GAGLEWSKI: Didn't get enough of the ball, but put the penalty away nicely TABAKA: Scored first goal of the season first half, should have had another. SUBS: SPIDER: Conceded one, but otherwise solid in goal OSIPINSKI: Injected life into Polska and superb performance, man of the match Radek has now scored in 5 games - all of Polska's so far this season - a Polska record. |
