LEICESTER POLSKA won their first County Cup game since November 2009 as they beat Shepshed United 2-1. Shepshed took the lead after 9 minutes, and their long ball game caused Polska all kinds of problems - the visitors were much the better side in the first 45. Lukasz Tabaka gave Polska a lifeline though when hammering home a long range shot on 35 minutes from a Marek Dziopa pass. The Polska equaliser seemed to rock Shepshed, and in the second half Polska were much better, although, as with the first half Spider Pajak still had to make some last ditch saves to keep the hosts in the game. The tide seemed to turn when Przerwa came on on 65 minutes. After nursing an injury through the last few weeks, a fit again Przerwa gave Polska energy and impetus, and his attacking runs forward from right back suddenly gave the Shepshed defence a lot more to think about. It was Przerwa's run deep into the Shepshed box on 88 minutes that led to him beig fouled and winning Polska a penalty, which Radek Gaglewski despatched to score for his 6th consecutive game.
