LEICESTER POLSKA earned a tremendous point against league leaders Leicester Foxes, and in doing so were involved in their first 0-0 since 2006. It was also Polska's first clean sheet since last March's semi final against Oadby Owls. And after scoring for 47 consecutive games, Polska have now not found the net for two games - a total of 185 minutes. The last time this happened was in March 2009. They may have also considered themselves hugely unlucky, as what looked like two very good penalty appeals were turned down in the second half. But they will be pretty happy with a point, as Foxes had won four from four prior to this game. PLAYER RATINGS: SPIDER: Two world class saves in the second half, without those Foxes would have won. Man of the match. KROL: Classy performance from the defender, rapidly becoming the signing of the summer! GOTFRYD: A superb performance in an unfamilar left midfield role. WASIK: Did his job well and was solid all game. KWIATKOWSKI: Excellent game from the Polska sweeper, how we missed him last week! ALLEN: Couldn't quite convert the chances at centre forward, switched to right wing second half. DZIOPA: Tracked back well and did some good defending, unlucky to hit the post with an inswinging first half corner. SZCZYPZK: Tired towards the end but played well. WISNIEWKSI: Not much service first half, unlucky not to score in the second. OSIPINSKI: Looks to be regaining full fitness, and had a good game. PRZERWA: Good to have him back, but didn't get a lot of the ball. CRANE: Came on to score the winner. Game finished 0-0. SUBS NOT USED: Procinski, Stones, Gasiorek |
