Season 2013-14
Match Report | LEICESTER POLSKA recorded their first league win of the season - in December - meaning it was their worst start to a league campaign for roughly 20 years, but they fought hard and deserved the league win for the first time since April - taking them 12 attempts. After being very comfortable in the first half, they went 1-0 up on 16 minutes when Sylv Zdunek scored his first goal for the club from a Marek Dziopa corner, although the referee may have missed a Patryk handball in the build up to the corner. Although Kilworth started the second half brightly, they lacked a cutting edge to trouble Polska, and Marek Dziopa made the points safe with a free kick on 77 minutes to make it 2-0. Kilworth felt they were denied a legitimate goal on 85 minutes only for Polska super sub Rys Procinski to judge the effort offside, but all is fair in love and war and the better side won the game. | |
