Season 2014-15
Match Report | 2 goals from Polska skipper Dominik Krol saw his side sweep into their second cup quarter final (along with the Chairmans Cup) and saw them win their 5th straight cup game this season - maintaining an unbeaten record. Polska signalled their intent and made a blistering start, and Krol opened the scoring on 13 minutes from a Marek Dziopa free kick. A lack of concentration and communication at the back saw Bottesford equalise on 19 minutes, before Krol made it 2-1 on 44 minutes from a Przerwa pass. Polska tried to turn the screw in the second half - there was to be no repeat of them falling alseep for the second 45 as they had done the week before, but once more they just couldn't quite find the net. Cupal fired over the bar from 3 yards out, whilst Przerwa had a very strong, decent penalty claim ruled out. Krol also saw his 'third' goal disallowed for offside - although to his frustration this came from the referee and not the club linesman who had not flagged. However, Polska were good value for their win and held on cosily to end their cup year on a high. | |
