Season 2014-15
Match Report | Leicester Polska suffered another frustrating defeat as mistakes and missed chances came back to haunt them. Polska have amazingly now won only 1 of their last 8 league games, but continue to impress opposition sides. And they certainly didn't deserve to be on the wrong end of this result. Dominating the first 20 minutes, they somehow found themselves 1-0 down on 28 minutes after Sav had initially lost the ball near the halfway line. Broughton then doubled their lead on 30 minutes from the penalty spot - after Dominik Krol was harshly adjudged to have fouled the Broughton forward - when it looked to many that he had cleanly won the ball first. It was the NINTH penalty Polska have conceded this season - a club record. Although this one looked like the wrong decision. Polska then had some hope restored when a Marek pass found Sav, who, despite hitting the deck on 32 minutes, managed to connect with the ball to make it 2-1 - his 11th of the season, and now just 15 behind Tom Lane in the all time goalscorers list. Worse was the come though, as Broughton made it 3-1 on 41 minutes after sneaking behind the blind side of Cupal. Polska made it 3-2 on 54 minutes when Piotr took advantage to smash the ball past the Broughton keeper, and although they had a few more chances, Broughton hung on to make it 3-2. Subs: Dobrzynski - Cupal (46 mins) Hinz - Szczypczyk (55 mins) Mazurek - Wieczorek (58 mins) | |
