Season 2007-08
Match Report | LEICESTER POLSKA produced a tremendous display against Scraptoft Garage to win 3-0, their first home win and clean sheet of the season. Polska were quick out of the traps and Mark Inglis got the first after just six minutes, and followed up to make it 2-0 just five minutes later. Inglis has now scored 67 goals for the club in just 63 games. Rich Ellis then scored his first goal since February, and his tenth for Polska when unleashing a 25 yard rocket on 28 minutes to give his team a valuable cushion. What was even sweeter was that the strike came from his notoriously chocolatey right foot. The Polska defence were then on top in the second half, superbly marshalled by the excellent Luke Dyke as Scraptoft failed to make any openings, their first shot on target not coming until the 61st minute. Match Stats: Goal attempts on target: POLSKA 9, SCRAPTOFT 5 Off Target: POLSKA 6, SCRAPTOFT 11 Corners: POLSKA 5, SCRAPTOFT 3 Caught Offside: POLSKA 7, SCRAPTOFT 1 Yellows: POLSKA 0, SCRAPTOFT 1 Reds: 0 | |
