Season 2010-11

The 'annual' Old Boys match this year found itself nestling in October, to accommodate the return of the Polska legend Mark Yeomanson. Sporting a Teenage-Mutant-Nijnja-Turtle look, Yeomanson wore protective goggles throughout, whilst on a more serious note needing to protect his eyes after a serious injury some time ago 'down under'. The game was quite well fought for the first half hour, with the likes of Dave Cox and Pete Smith still showing their prowess despite crossing over to 'the other side'. And the current Polska crop got a taste of defending a present day 'big name' with Darren Wheeler of Advance Couriers fame present on the pitch. Alan Chater finally broke the deadlock shortly before half time. Polska took control of the second half, with Chris Lewis scoring a wonderful bullet header to make it 2-0 before Mark Chater killed the game off shortly after. The Old Boys' best moment came when Mark Yeomanson hit the post late in the second half, much to the delight of stand in 'keeper Rys Procinski, who earned a man of the match award for his clean sheet.
