Season 2013-14
Match Report | LEICESTER POLSKA failed to score for the first time since October as they crashed to a 3-0 defeat away to St Marks. Playing in their 6th consecutive away game, Polska struggled to contain St Marks at first, but midway through the first half settled down and played some good football, with 3 decent chances going begging. St Marks opened the scoring on 31 minutes after a deflected shot beat Spider Pajak in goal. In the second half, Karol Osipinski hit the bar, with Marcin Krogulec seeing his goalbound rebound cleared off the line. Krol then went to ground pushing forward and gave the ball away, with St Marks breaking and Aaron Weir making it 2-0 on 58 minutes. This seemed the knock the stuffing out of Polska, and when they went 3-0 down on 77 minutes, it was game over. Sub centre forward Marcin Cupal hit the bar late on, but it was to be a frustrating day for the red and whites. | |
