Leicester Polska got through the opening round of the County Cup for the third successive year when blowing away Loughborough Emmanuel after a poor first half showing. Polska struggled immensely to get going in the first half, giving the ball away over a dozen times and as a result the visitors eventually capitalised and took the lead on 22 minutes, beating the offside trap. It looked like Polska would head into the break 1-0 down with teacups being thrown, but the whole game changed when Piotr Kucznier buried a last minute shot into the bottom left corner of the Loughborough goal after receiving a Patryk Szczypczyk cross. That goal seemed to stun Emmanuel and in the second half, Polska came out all guns blazing, with Savo unlucky not to score when he saw his pinpoint header hit the post. However, on 53 minutes Max Sieczka made it 2-1 when converting a Kucznier effort that had come back off a Loughborough defender. Kucznier then got his second and Polska's third when converting a direct free kick on 56 minutes after Wesolowski had been fouled. The player then his hat trick on 62 minutes, converting a chance that came from a Dominic Krol cross. The blitz was too much for Loughborugh to handle, and their heads went down, before sub Radoslaw Dobrzynski made it 5-1 in the 92nd minute from a Sav cross.
